Muskegon Sailors Statistics and History [MOHL]
The Muskegon Sailors were a semi-professional hockey team that played in the Michigan-Ontario Hockey League during the 1940-41 season. The team had played in the amateur Mid-West Hockey League the previous season.
The Sailors were outclassed by the rest of the league, particularly Windsor and Detroit. By early December, they had not won any games, and had just one tie. Attendance was poor, and on December 8, the team announced that they would drop out of the league after completing two more games during the upcoming weekend (both of which they lost).
The M-O league agreed to continue the season, with various OHA teams replacing Muskegon on the schedule.
