Minor League Informational Links

USA Today

The USA Today site carries information on all US Pro minor leagues, as well as Howe Sportsdata's Weekly Minor League Roundup which gives thumbnail reports on the previous week's minor league action.

CBS Sportsline

The Sportsline site has information on the AHL, ECHL, and IHL , including rosters, news, and current statistics. They also cover the UHL, CHL, ECHL, WPHL, and several US junior leagues.

Minor League Link Pages

Lane Startin's Hockey Web Links

Formerly Marc Foster's links page, this site is a well-maintained page of minor league team links. Also includes amateur pages.

Minor Professional Hockey Newspaper and Media Links

This site links to all the newspapers and electronic media sites that provide coverage to minor pro hockey teams. It's a great collection of links which will give you the latest information on current teams.

Historical Hockey League Pages

Atlantic Coast Hockey League

My page detailing the history of the ACHL. I haven't worked on it much, and I need some help filling in some of the mid-year history, but take a look anyway.

Central Hockey League

This is Paul O'Neil's tribute to the old CHL. It's a wonderful source of info for the league, with some great historical pieces.

Western Hockey League

Frank Liebmann's tribute to the old WHL, the pro league that represented hockey in the West for a great many years.

World Hockey Association

Andrew Stiffler's WHA page is back! After a couple of years on hiatus, Andrew has resumed the work on his tribute to the WHA. This is the original WHA history site, the other site (which I won't mention) was plagerized from Andrew. I especially like the pictures of the WHA team media guides -- great stuff!

Historical Hockey Team Pages

Oklahoma City Hockey History Web Page

Marc Foster's tribute to hockey in Oklahoma City. Do you think that OKC's hockey started in the 90's with the CHL Blazers? Or the 60's with the CPHL Blazers? Guess again, try the 30's with the AHA Warriors!

Pittsburgh Hornets Page

Josh Atkins has created a great page for the Pittsburgh Hornets, a AHL team that existed from 1936-37 until 1966-67.

Let's Go Pirates

If you go back far enough in Pittsburgh hockey history you'll find the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh's first NHL team. RJ Ackerman has a page devoted to this early NHL team.

The Hidden History of Houston Hockey

A great page by Maurice Tuttle which gives the history of hockey in Houston, a city with a surprisingly long hockey lineage.

Colorado Hockey History

A page detailing the history of hockey in Denver. Plenty of good information on the Invaders, Falcons, and Spurs, with some great detailed stories about these long-gone teams.

Fort Wayne Komets Legends

A page dedicted to the 47-year history of the Fort Wayne Komets in the IHL. A very comprehensive page with stats, logos, and history.

Miscellaneous Links

Bush League Factor

An amusing look at the trends of recent hockey team nicknames and logos. Daniel Rhodes has hit the nail on the head with his analysis!

Arenas by Munsey & Suppes

Munsey and Suppes have done a marvelous job of documenting all aspects of the buildings that hockey, and other sports teams play in. You can see pictures of the buildings, check seating capacity, and even see how much the arenas cost when built.

Gamewornjerseys.com

A meeting place for collectors of NHL game worn jerseys. Features a discussion forum, for sale ads, want ads, collecting tips, and links to dealers and teams that sell their game jerseys to the public.

Bee Hive Hockey Photo Museum

Here's a site for you old-time player buffs. Over a number of years the St. Lawrence Starch company issued "Beehive Photos", which were available with a purchase of product. Since these were issued at a time when hockey trading cards were not produced, they are the only such "cards" of many NHL players. This site is trying to get an image of every single Beehive photo online. Since many of the photos are so rare that perhaps only a handful of copies exist, this is a formidable task.

Fifties Web

If you're a baby boomer and love nostalgia, then Fifties web is for you! A virtual treasure trove of fifties information
